Participating in an Online Paid SurveysAre you looking for a fun and safe way to make money but just want to work at home using your computer? If so, you should consider the paid surveys.

Everyday, companies pay people like you on their opinion on products, movies, commercials and more. I’ll explain how you can earn money from home with paid surveys online.

Benefits of participating in Australian paid surveys include:

  • Work On Your Own Schedule

If you are the type of person who enjoys a routine, you can set a daily schedule in completion of paid online surveys. On the other hand, if you want freedom and I hate schedules, paid online surveys are perfect for you!

  • Work As Little or As Much As You Want

With Australian paid surveys online, you are free to work as little or as much as you want. Work five minutes here and there, or work more hours straight. If you want to take a day off, or even a few weeks off, you are free to do so. There is no set schedule or requirements of the time.

  • To Determine Your Paycheck

You are responsible for your participation! You can easily work until you’ve done a bit of money or enough to complete online paid surveys just like full-time jobs. Stop working when you reach your goal of earning or continue as you feel to do so.

  • The Work in Pajamas

Australian paid surveys give you the freedom to work at home. There is no uniform to wear or to purchase. Work on your pajamas and show that nothing is difference! The best part is that you will receive the same survey, if you’re in your bathrobe or a three-piece suit.

  • Be Your Own Boss

With paid online surveys the only person to answer to is none other than you. Get up and walk away from your computer whenever you want without a boss to answer to! Not to mention that no one will yells at you for being late, leaving early, taking a longer lunch break, or talk on the phone.

  • Work at Home

You can work at home for as long as you have a computer and an internet connection. This will save your time and your money for the transportation. Also, commuting may take some of your energy that possibly will lessen the efficiency of your work.

  • Saving Money

You do not have to pay for gasoline or bus passes to access and work. If you have a toddler, you can skip the cost of babysitting too! Add up your child care expenses and lunches if you not work at home and see for yourself the amount of money you actually saved. Most moms with young children realize that they will save $200 or so a week if they work at home, which could be equal to almost half amount of their weekly wage at a regular office work.

  • Take Surveys on Subjects That You Enjoy

With paid surveys online you are free to choose survey topics that interest you. There will be many available surveys, some of the items you like or some of the items you want to skip. Take all the surveys available to you, or just the surveys that seem fun. Nobody will compel to carry out a survey you do not want.

My Tips on Earning Money from Focus Groups

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

I’ve puEarning Money from Focus Groupt together a list of tips and helpful information to help you make the most of paid focus groups. Implementing my suggestions about focus groups can earn you hundreds of dollars.

Join every market research company that offers focus groups in your local area. The more companies you sign up with, the better your odds are of getting called to participate. Keep up with how many focus groups you qualify with for each company. Many market research companies will not allow you to participate with their company if you have recently completed focus groups with any other company. As a pre-screening question, market research companies will ask when you last completed paid focus groups. Honestly is usually the best policy, as you don’t want to be disqualified from working with marketing companies. I will admit that I have stretched the truth once or twice about these questions with no known ramifications yet.

Always arrive early! Arriving thirty minutes ahead of time will allow you to sign in and get settled without being rushed.  Do a little research, and try to figure out the topic of the focus group before you receive your pre-screening call. Frequently you will need to fill out a short online survey before you receive a pre-screening call. Based on the online survey questions, you should be able to get a pretty good idea of the topic. For example if the online survey asks you a lot of questions about sports drinks, you can reasonable assume that the focus group will be about sports drinks. With this information, you fit the answers you give in the pre-screening calls to give you a greater chance of being selected for the focus group. You always want to answer yes to the question, “Are you the main grocery buyer in your house”. If they ask you “How often you drink sports drinks”, you would want to answer “Every single day!” Most people don’t take the time to figure out with the focus group will be about. Doing so will give you a heads up and allow you to qualify for more studies.

Another common way of earning money is through survey points. You, being the survey taker can exchange those earned points into cash, prizes and gift cards and more. One company may settle on 1 is to 1 pointing system (100 points = $1.00), some may be 300 points = $5.00 or so, depending on the company where you have earned the survey points. Yet again, you should understand well the payment details associated with each company you sign up for.

Legitimate Paid Surveys

Monday, October 31st, 2011

Legitimate Paid SurveySurvey topics are all across the board and include everything from walking shoes to office supplies to movie preferences.

There are legitimate paid surveys that pay people just like you and me for opinions. I find legitimate  paid surveys quite enjoyable. If you have ever taken a survey offering a huge reward that never seemed to end, this is not a legitimate paid survey. Scams like this can ruin your experience and give paid online surveys a bad name. These surveys have hundreds of pages of questions, and make it impossible for you to complete the survey and earn your reward.

With my Paid Survey Secrets I tell you up front what you need to watch out for, and how to avoid being scammed. I also include a database of recommended companies that give out legitimate  paid surveys, and that I myself use and love. As always, if you have any questions or a suggestion for a post do not hesitate to contact me!

Different Types of Survey Questions

Friday, October 7th, 2011

Paid survey questionsTaking your very first paid online survey is quite exciting answering those survey questions hence may shock or confuse you because it’s your first time.  Believe it or not, there is not one basic survey type that every company uses. A survey can contain many different sections and each section can use a different type of survey questions.

Each survey can use one or more than one of the following types of survey questions:

  • Free Answer. When a survey asks you a question and has a text box for you to type in your answer, this is called a free response question. You see these text boxes every day, but they aren’t used that often in surveys. Part of the reason is that an individual would have to read every answer you typed in, and it would be difficult and expensive to understand the results of your survey.
  • Multiple Choices. Multiple choices are one of the most common, if not the most common, type of survey question. After a question is asked, you will have multiple answers to choose from. Usually you will also have the option to choose “I don’t know”, or “Not sure”. This type of answer can be read and sorted by a computer.
  • Scales. Many surveys will ask your opinion based on a number from 1-3, 1-5, or 1-10, where each number has its own specific spot on a spectrum. The middle number is always neutral, and the number 1 or the highest number means you have a strong opinion. This type of survey question is also read by a computer.
  • Two-Part Surveys. Two-part surveys are typically used when a company wants you to complete one part of the survey now, and then a second part of the survey later. In between the first and the second survey they may send you a product to try or have you watch a specific TV commercial. Usually the second part of the survey pays much better than the first part of the survey as the company wants a guarantee that you will return. Occasionally a company may decide that unless you complete both parts of the survey that you will not get paid at all.

I’ve participated in several two-part surveys where after completing the first part of the survey I had a food product mailed to me. I would be instructed to use the product, and then log in to complete the second part of the survey. This type of survey is my favorite as not only do you get paid cash through PayPal but you also receive free products.

On Mystery Shopping

Friday, September 30th, 2011

Mystery shoppingLast time, I discussed to you the ways of earning money online through answering online surveys and participating to different types of focus groups. Now, I will introduce you to another means of earning money.

Most people like you have already heard of mystery shopping but very few of you actually participating in this kind of work. Well for me, this is one of the easiest jobs. Why? Because you do a very simple job and get paid for your time and effort. As a matter of fact, there are some great perks too like getting free meals, a free night in a hotel or free merchandise.

Maybe you’re now asking yourself “Why such this kind of work exist? It’s like paying someone by doing nothing”. Of course this type of job makes sense. Mystery shopping is a tool used by companies to measure quality of retail service or gather specific information about products and services. Businesses hire mystery shopping companies to confirm that customers are having a good experience at their certain locations and to see what aspects they can improve on for future customers.

Mystery shopping is all about the little details of your experience while visiting a business. The business could be a café, petrol station, shopping centre, movie theater, retail store or any other type of business that offers the customers a product or service.

Why did I say this is one of the easiest jobs? Simple because you will just evaluating how the food tasted, how long you stood in line or how knowledgeable the employees are about a certain product. Afterwards, presto! You are now starting on earning money in an instant. 99% of the time you will not reveal yourself as a mystery shopper. You will experience what it’s like to shop or dine at the selected business as a regular everyday customer and then fill in a report about it afterwards. There are times that you have to make a small purchase, but don’t worry because this may be reimbursed.

It is very much important to take down notes so you won’t forget any details that you need like your experience with the service or evaluation with the products as. Another thing, don’t you forget to keep those receipts as proof of purchase.

When working online, you are sharing personal information

Monday, February 7th, 2011

Working onlineWhen working online, remember that because paid online surveys are ways for the company to gather data, they will be needing very personal information from you. Why? Because companies use this information to classify you into a group or demographic, which is needed for their product studies.

Many paid surveys might only want the people of their target group or demographic to complete the surveys. However, there are also surveys that anyone can complete.

The usual information companies will ask you about yourself are:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Hobbies
  • Address or location
  • Job or profession
  • Birthday
  • Marital status
  • Sexual orientation
  • Yearly income (monetary)
  • Number, ages of children
  • Number, ages of grandchildren
  • Work status (i.e.: Full time, part time, etc.)

It may be a lot of information, but paid survey companies oftentimes need opinions from different groups. Sometimes they even only need two to three people from a certain group to answer their surveys. Other times, companies only look for answers from a group with certain careers or lifestyles. Unfortunately, sometimes your career or lifestyle isn’t the one that’s required for the paid survey, so you will not be able to answer those kinds of surveys. Other times, you also won’t be able to answer surveys if you have a friend or family member works in advertising, product research, or marketing.

However, providing information about your interests and hobbies may also qualify you for more paid surveys. For example, a company specializing in baby products would want to survey people with at least one baby. Likewise, a dog food company would want to survey dog owners only and disregard information from people who don’t own a dog.

If you choose to work online using paid surveys, it’s important for you to list the members of your household, including ages, hobbies, careers, and others, when you sign up with a new company. The more information about you the paid survey company has, the more likely you will be qualified for survey opportunities.

Do you think completing paid surveys is a good way of working online?
