Hopefully, with these tips, you’ll be able to reach your goals to make money taking surveys.

  • Join at least five quality online paid surveys. After you’ve familiarized yourself more with the workings of paid online surveys, gradually join more survey companies. The more you join, the more money-making opportunities you have.
  • Pay attention to how many surveys you qualify for per panel. Pay more attention to those that you frequently qualify for and set the others aside, to complete when you have extra time on your hands.
  • Check your email regularly (at least once a day), as survey slots often get filled up very frequently.
  • Keep a list of or bookmark all the paid survey panels you’re a member of. Some of them don’t send out email notices so you would need to check them regularly to keep up to date on the latest surveys.

Follow Up On Missing Payment

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Follow up on missing paymentIf you have been keeping an accurate log of every survey you participate in, then you will quickly notice if there is a missing payment. A missing payment can be due to a computer error, a payment that is going through late or human error. Don’t panic if you notice something is wrong.

The first thing you should do is contact the company using the information in your log. Include the date and time you took the survey, the confirmation number if applicable, the survey payment amount you expected to receive and the date you should have received the survey payment. Be patient as it makes take them a day or two to get back to you. Often if there is a member wide problem with payments they will get a flood of emails and they can become backed up in their replies.

Here, I’ll give an example on how to follow up on missing payment of your supposedly survey payment:

To Whom It May Concern,

On March 28, 2010 I complete a survey on sewing needles. I completed the survey at 8:03pm and was given the confirmation number XYZ123. The survey stated that it paid $5.00. Surveys are paid within 7 days, and it has been 12 days. Please look into this issue and let me know when to expect payment.

Thank you,

Things You Should Not Forget When Taking Your First Online Survey

Thursday, October 6th, 2011

Paid surveyI already gave you tips and tricks to make money through online survey and how to avoid those online survey scams. Done discussing to you the essential information you need such as on finding legal survey companies, what focus group is, as well as it different types, about mystery shopping and being mystery shopper plus the supplies or material you need in the process of mystery shopping and a lot lot more.

Now, I will introduce you more to the world of online survey, specifically on the things you shouldn’t forget when taking your first paid online survey.

You have all the opportunity to take you very first paid online survey after you complete signing up with legal survey companies. The thing you should not forget are as follows:

  • Take your time. Surveys don’t have a time limit, so feel free to take as long as you need to complete them. Most surveys do tell you beforehand how much time you can expect to spent on each survey, such as 5-10 minutes, or 30-45 minutes. This does not mean you will get in trouble for taking more or even less time than expected.
  • Read each question carefully and completely. Sometimes there will be a question that is there only to test you. Survey companies want to make sure you are reading each question and giving your honest opinion, and they are paying you for your answers. Example question that may ask may be the same question asked to me when once I participated on an online survey: “As a quality assurance measure, we ask that you mark yes and continue on to the next question.” In this particular situation, you should follow the directions exactly. If you weren’t really reading the questions you may have just selected “no” and not realize this question was included. Marking no could disqualify you from completing the survey, and prevent you from earning money for your effort.
  • Be honest. Also be aware that some surveys had hidden timers that let those legal survey companies know exactly how much time you spend on each question or page. If you breeze through just selecting random answers, those legal survey companies may disqualify you based on there being no possibility that you actually had the time to read each question. Legal survey companies are paying you for your honest opinion, so you definitely need to give them their money’s worth.

Tip #3 on Earning Money from Focus Groups: Check Your Email

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

paid surveys, money online, paid survey, paid online surveys, paid online surveyHere’s my third hint to help you on earning money from focus groups.

Check your email often. Surveys frequently tend to fill up very quickly, so I would suggest checking your email at least once or twice a day. I myself have missed out on several high paying surveys and focus groups because everyone else had snatched them up before I even opened my email invitation. Check your email settings and make sure your email program is frequently checking for new emails. Be sure to bookmark or keep a log of all the panels you registered with. While many will send you email invites, some require you to log in and check the website for new surveys and focus groups opportunities. Keep your email neat, tidy, and organized. Be sure to regularly go through your spam folder for emails that are not junk. Sometimes your survey invites end up there by mistake. You may need to add the email address listed with the survey companies to your contacts to guarantee they go straight to your inbox.

Finding and Qualifying for Focus Groups

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Focus GroupI will now move on to another way to earn money for sharing your opinion. This is my personal favorite – attending focus groups. It is often referred to as market research, is closely related to online surveys but usually done with a group of people. Focus groups can take place in an online forum or can be made in person at a designated area. Literally, there are thousands of focus groups every day throughout Australia. As mentioned, with paid surveys, you just simply select an answer and move on to the next question while with focus groups, which is designed to be a discussion of a certain product or idea; you have all the opportunity of communicating your ideas and opinions with others in the group.

A significant difference between the online surveys and focus groups is the payment fee. Focus groups pay 10 to 20 times more than those online surveys, sometimes even a hundred times more. I strongly recommend changing your plans to integrate focus groups into your day when you are invited to participate. It is where the real money is and you can easily make a hundred or two hundred dollars for a single session.

Finding Focus Groups

Your regular payment of the paid surveys companies may be asked you, once in a while, to participate in an online focus group. Since those invitations are few and far between, you should search out for more focus groups on your own way.

You may at least perform an internet search for focus groups as well as market research groups in your area or look for focus groups and market research in your local newspaper. Search on Craigslist or local Gumtrees listings. You can also consult your local yellow pages and let your fingers do the walking. Don’t miss any luck, try checking local job boards. You can find a large database of focus groups located in Australia in this “A Guide to Australian Paid Surveys” package. Just browse through the list and join those available in your area.

In spite the fact that you do online surveys most often, its focus groups that can really adds up your profits.

Qualifying for Focus Groups

To qualify for focus groups, you have to register with companies that hosting focus group as you do with paid surveys companies. Make it sure that you provide accurate contact information and even consider giving a mobile number.

Company needs to contact you before they accept you for each focus group. They begin to call people at random until they found enough people who will fit in a specific demographic group. Therefore, you should always give good contact information, because when they have found the enough number of people they need, they won’t need you anymore. It’s a huge financial loss on your part if you were not able to answer their call.

If company picked you then you will be asked for some pre- screen questions to make sure that you are qualified. For example, if they are hosting a focus group regarding on beef soup, they will check in advance that you eat beef. There are times that they may want to include only those in a certain age range then they will check your date of birth.

Your contact person will also make sure that you are available to join on a specific date and time and give you the location information. Focus groups pay so well that it is worth rescheduling your other plans just to participate.

Monday, July 25th, 2011

Survey paymentsLast time, we answered a few of your questions about paid survey fees and payments. This is another compilation of your questions regarding survey payments and fees.

Question: I’m not interested in gifts or rewards. Is there a way to get only cash for paid surveys?
Answer: Each paid survey has their own terms and payment, so you can complete only the ones that pay via paypal or cheque. Remember though, that some reward points can also be as good as cash, since you can exchange reward points for paypal credits.

Question: How can I keep track of all the points or rewards that should be given to me?
Answer: Keep a log of every survey you complete so that you’re aware of any discrepancies or missing payments.

Question: How can I change my points into cash?
Answer: Each survey company has a different means of converting points to cash. For example, a company might give $1 in cash for every 100 points. The best place to check is the Frequently Asked Questions or FAQ page of the paid survey company.
