Ways in Finding Legal Survey Companies

Monday, November 21st, 2011

Legal Survey CompaniesYou may not know how easy it is to find the legal survey companies if you have never been participated in any online paid surveys. This may seem daunting at first; you can easily get the hang of it just by following the suggestions below.

Here are Some Simple Ways to Find Legal Survey Companies:

  • You can search on the internet (e.g. Google) but be aware, expect to find a lot of scams.
  • Join in to paid survey forums. This is where you can find great amount of helpful tips and information. You can also talk and have conversation with experts.
  • You may purchase a list of paid legal survey companies. This is not recommended unless you want a thorough investigation about a certain company to ensure that it is legitimate.
  • Word of mouth. I have found this is the best way to find out about new paid surveys. Share this knowledge with your friends or start an alliance in your area. Others will probably find a paid survey sites you haven’t found yet. This will help save you time and earn more money.
  • You will find a huge database of paid online legal surveys companies to get you started in the Paid Survey Secrets Package. This is a database of online paid survey sites with reviews that I have put together over the last 5 years. New paid survey sites are being added as I find them, and feel free to send in any you come across.

It is important that you know how to find the surveys that each survey company has to offer. Will you need to log in daily and check for new surveys? Will invitations to participate in surveys be directly emailed to you? You can find this information in the frequently asked question area of the website. In your records, you may need to put a star by the companies you need to log into everyday so that you don’t forget.

Keep in mind that filling up surveys is fast, and once the desired number of survey takers has completed the survey, the company will no longer need your opinion on the subject. Make sure you know where to look to be the first to know about survey opportunities. You want to be the early bird that catches the worm! An easy way to do this is to bookmark pages you plan to visit daily.

Follow Up On Missing Payment

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Follow up on missing paymentIf you have been keeping an accurate log of every survey you participate in, then you will quickly notice if there is a missing payment. A missing payment can be due to a computer error, a payment that is going through late or human error. Don’t panic if you notice something is wrong.

The first thing you should do is contact the company using the information in your log. Include the date and time you took the survey, the confirmation number if applicable, the survey payment amount you expected to receive and the date you should have received the survey payment. Be patient as it makes take them a day or two to get back to you. Often if there is a member wide problem with payments they will get a flood of emails and they can become backed up in their replies.

Here, I’ll give an example on how to follow up on missing payment of your supposedly survey payment:

To Whom It May Concern,

On March 28, 2010 I complete a survey on sewing needles. I completed the survey at 8:03pm and was given the confirmation number XYZ123. The survey stated that it paid $5.00. Surveys are paid within 7 days, and it has been 12 days. Please look into this issue and let me know when to expect payment.

Thank you,

Stop phone calls from survey companies

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

Stop phone callsSo a paid survey company is calling you by phone. Are you allowed to stop phone calls of this kind? The answer is, you should: You’ve already completed the survey, so what more does the company need from you?

A likely answer to this is that you’ve completed a survey from a fraudulent company, and they’re now ringing you up to sell you their product. How do you stop phone calls from companies like this?

When entering your personal information on online paid survey sites, try to find a way to “opt out” of being contacted via phone. Also, never give out your mobile phone number, because you really don’t want telemarketers to get hold of that number and bug you any chance they get. Search for a box in the form that you can check (or un-check), saying that you don’t want to be contacted by phone. That way, any information they want from you can be asked via email.

You do need a legitimate phone number when signing up for Market Research companies, though. This is so that you can be invited to Focus Groups and offers from GPT sites, so that you can receive a commission for offers completed.

Remember to always find a way to stop phone calls from online paid survey companies to avoid the hassle that comes along with it!

Making money through paid surveys: How much do you get?

Monday, March 14th, 2011

Making moneySo you’re finally on the road to making money after scouring the net for genuine paid surveys and reading survey tips such as the different paid survey types and how to correctly fill up money paying surveys. But how much money do you get, exactly, and how do you get them?

Paid survey companies have different ways of handling payments, but there are some things they have in common with each other:

  • How much you make. No, unfortunately you won’t get rich by just completing paid surveys. However, you are making money for part-time work with little effort. Signing up for more survey companies will make you earn more money, and you might even end up getting several hundred dollars’s worth at the end of every week!
  • Types of earnings. Paid surveys don’t only pay you cash, they also pay you with one or more of the following: cash credits, points, prizes and samples, and contest entries.
    • Cash Credits: Usually, the amount you earn for each survey can be seen alongside the estimated time it can take you to complete a survey. Different companies have different minimum cash credit amounts before they can send cash to your account. For example, some companies may need you to reach $10 worth of completed surveys before they send you your money. Paypal seems to be the preferred method of payment for many of these companies.
    • Points: Some companies utilize the point system, wherein you collect points and then exchange them for payments, prizes, gift cards, or more. The ratio of points to dollars is again decided by the survey company.
    • Prizes and Samples: Sometimes, companies provide you with prizes or samples instead of the above two. For example, taking a survey of brand XYZ shampoo can get you a free sample of that shampoo. This is also where two-part surveys take place. You can read more about two-part surveys in our paid survey types article.
    • Contest Entries: This type of payment doesn’t really give you any “payment”, but chances to win prizes. You should pay attention to when the contest drawing is and the number of participants. The less number of participants there are, the more chances of you winning the prize.
  • Discrepancies! There are several reasons for discrepancies, and it’s best not to panic if you discover one. The missing payment could be because of a computer or human error or a late payment. When encountering discrepancies, you should contact the survey company with the information about the survey. Remember to wait patiently as it may take a day or two for the company to get back to you, or even more if there’s been a problem with payments for all members.

Making money with paid surveys is always a good way to earn extra cash. We hope you’re able to maximize your paid survey income with these tips!

Paid survey types

Monday, March 7th, 2011

Paid surveyIt might be new for you to hear that there are different kinds of paid survey types. There may also be different types of sections and ways of questioning.

These are the types that you may encounter and a short description on each:

  • Free Answer: When you are provided with a box where you type your answer. This type isn’t usually used in surveys, because that would mean that an individual would have to read and analyze your answer, which would take a lot of time and resources for the survey company.
  • Multiple Choice: When you are required to mark your answer from the choices they provide you with. This type of answer is the most common, because answers can then be read and tallied using a computer.
  • Scales: When surveys ask you to rate on a scale based on your opinion to the statement given. The middle number is always neutral (for example, on a scale of 1 to 10, the number 5 is a neutral answer). Answers to these types of questions can also be read by a computer.
  • Two-part surveys: When you’re required to complete one part first and a second part at a later time. In between the two surveys they might send you a product to try or watch a specific TV commercial. Sometimes you get paid more for the second part of the survey; other times you may not get paid at all if you fail to participate in the second part. This is to guarantee that the company will be able to get a response from the second part of the paid survey.

Which type of paid survey is your favorite and why?

When working online, you are sharing personal information

Monday, February 7th, 2011

Working onlineWhen working online, remember that because paid online surveys are ways for the company to gather data, they will be needing very personal information from you. Why? Because companies use this information to classify you into a group or demographic, which is needed for their product studies.

Many paid surveys might only want the people of their target group or demographic to complete the surveys. However, there are also surveys that anyone can complete.

The usual information companies will ask you about yourself are:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Hobbies
  • Address or location
  • Job or profession
  • Birthday
  • Marital status
  • Sexual orientation
  • Yearly income (monetary)
  • Number, ages of children
  • Number, ages of grandchildren
  • Work status (i.e.: Full time, part time, etc.)

It may be a lot of information, but paid survey companies oftentimes need opinions from different groups. Sometimes they even only need two to three people from a certain group to answer their surveys. Other times, companies only look for answers from a group with certain careers or lifestyles. Unfortunately, sometimes your career or lifestyle isn’t the one that’s required for the paid survey, so you will not be able to answer those kinds of surveys. Other times, you also won’t be able to answer surveys if you have a friend or family member works in advertising, product research, or marketing.

However, providing information about your interests and hobbies may also qualify you for more paid surveys. For example, a company specializing in baby products would want to survey people with at least one baby. Likewise, a dog food company would want to survey dog owners only and disregard information from people who don’t own a dog.

If you choose to work online using paid surveys, it’s important for you to list the members of your household, including ages, hobbies, careers, and others, when you sign up with a new company. The more information about you the paid survey company has, the more likely you will be qualified for survey opportunities.

Why it’s important to protect your PC when participating in paid online services

Monday, January 31st, 2011

Protect your PCBecause you’re now being paid online, you will be receiving payments through your computer, so protect your PC from spyware and viruses first and foremost. An estimate of one million computers per year are being affected by viruses, mostly without the owner even knowing they are infected.

There are both free and paid programs to safeguard your computer from these unwanted nuisances. Avast, Malware Bytes, and AVG are examples of freeware, but you can also upgrade them to a paid version if you would like more functionalities to your antivirus and anti-spyware programs.

Without antivirus and anti-spyware programs, there’s a very high risk of your computer’s system getting destroyed by viruses or your personal information stolen. Can you imagine the problems that would arise should your computer’s system stop working, the fees you’d need to pay for repairing it, or the dangers involved if someone else had access to your personal information? You can avoid all these troublesome situations if you start protecting your PC.

Installing your antivirus and anti-spyware programs on your computer isn’t the last step, though. Every day, malicious developers create new viruses and malware to infect your computer with. That’s why it’s important to upgrade your protective programs regularly. Many antivirus and anti-spyware programs have an auto-update option, which allows them to automatically retrieve and install the latest updates on a regular basis, sometimes even daily. You can also set up your program to run a scan automatically on a set schedule; this will ensure that you protect your PC because it’s constantly checked for viruses and spyware.
